Back in July, Mike Steen and I spent a couple of weeks in Austria working on a film. Our section of the project was foot launched speed flying, and we spent most of our time rushing around the Eastern Alps searching for good weather and suitable locations for foot lauching small wings and flying near terrain.
It was a typical film shoot with horrible weather, long drives, brutal disorganization, and a terrible lack of catering. After nearly two weeks we had accumulated an almost decent amount of shots and we were just beginning to find an accord with the film crew when we ran out of time.
Apparently we accomplished enough to make a trailer for the film, as seen here. Hopefully our section in the finished product will be inspiring, dramatic, and will compel you to buy a speed flying wing and enthusiastically imitate us. Unless you're completely turned off by our Xtremeness, which I truly pray does not happen. |
